Miller scored 13 of his 23 points in the first quarter, routinely getting to the rim throughout the afternoon, something Central did a lot of en route to shooting 50% from the floor.
Something else Central did a lot of? Pressure Moline’s guards and force turnovers. Central forced 20 turnovers, leading to run-out after run-out in the second half.
Central (6-1) won their sixth straight since a season-opening loss to United Township. The Blue Devils were led by Kelvin Miller, who had 23 points. Timothy Rummels had 17 points and eight rebounds, and Tyrique Vesey had 12 points and six assists. Sallu Kargbo played a great floor game for the Blue Devils, scoring five points, grabbing nine rebounds, dishing seven assists and coming away with four steals in the win.
