Antoin Clifton
6’3 – SF – 2016
Clifton is a solid, undersized interior forward. Good length and athleticism who added some toughness to this Avon team. He’s great finishing around the rim and does like to induce contact. He’s long and a good rebounder on the offensive end so he can get his own shots that way. Had 8 points early in the game and not sure any plays were ran for him. Finishes through contact and also has a nice over his right shoulder move. Not widely skilled but pretty effective. – 8 points
Jack McCue
5’10 – PG – 2016
McCue might have had his best game this season and in some time. He was on fire hitting everything he threw up. Off balanced, hand in his face, he was feeling it. He paired that with a bunch of really nice, strong drives at the rim and he went for a game-high in points. Kept Avon in the lead early and when he slowed down a bit Bloomington South was able to take the lead. He’s a solid point guard option for a college program as he doesn’t have to be a big scorer but obviously can bring it. Gives good effort on both ends of the floor today. – 28 points
Shawn Moore
6’4 – SG – 2016
Moore was really good early but tapered off as the game went on. He’s a skinny wing player with some upside down the road as he fills out his body. Loves to attack off the bounce but strength doesn’t allow him to finish a lot of the plays yet. With that said, his ability to make the play to that point is good and it helps to show his promise. He’s decently athletic and can do quite a bit on offense, just needs to add strength and his game should start playing up. – 10 points
Bloomington South:
Phillip King
6’0 – PG – 2018
King is a nice sophomore guard prospect. Not a bit offensive threat but has shown great passing instincts and the handles dictate the point guard spot. Smart player and keeps his head up. With Coyle and Blackwell looking to score, it was nice for Bloomington South to have King facilitating that especially when they made their run in the second half. He’s still developing into the player he’ll be but as he adds to his offense and if he keeps his ball skills sharp, he should be a nice prospect as a senior. – 6 points
Tucker Blackwell
6’2 – SG – 2016
This was about the best Blackwell has played in a long time. He’s been great as a shooter from distance but he was able to put a complete game together in this one. He handled the pressure well of playing on and off the ball, so much so that he was able to create in the lane for quite a few key points in the second half. He still shot the ball well but being able to diversify a bit makes him a ton more dangerous. Tucker has been decent the last few years but this was a bit of a breakout game for him. It shows that in the right fit he can be impactful in more than just shooting. – 24 points
Chris Bomba
6’1 – SG – 2018
Bomba is a shooting guard prospect with his best days not too far off. Tucker Blackwell is the guy for Bloomington South right now but someone is going to have to fill those shoes sooner rather than later. Bomba showed in short spurts today that he can do it. He knocked down a three, had a solid drive to the rim, and got to the free throw line quite often. He’s not deficient in any offensive area but with more playing time he’ll define his game a bit more. So far, so good with the sophomore prospect. – 11 points
Chance Coyle
6’4 – SF – 2018
Coyle is one of the best 2018 players in the state because of his skill set and size. He’s about 6’4 and skilled with the ball. Best when driving at the rim where he can finish or pullup and hit the nice 12′ jumper. He’s solid if you want him to be just a shooter from the perimeter but the matchup play is what makes him special. He knows how to put up points and can really lead a team, even at an early age.- 25 points, 9 rebounds
