The 6-foot-1 2018 averaged 7 points and nearly 2 assists last season while coming off the bench, and has upped his production this season, with averages of 15 points and 3.5 assists per game.
He spent his 15U offseason playing with Team Nebraska Express, and has seen little interest come his way so far – but he knows he’s got plenty of time to make his name known to college programs.
“I’ve gotten some smaller colleges like Briar Cliff and some colleges like that that have shown interest, but that’s about it,” said Mohr. “I went to a camp at Dordt this summer, and I was invited to Wayne State’s elite camp, but I couldn’t make that one.”
“I’m not quite too into it (recruitment) yet, but I think about it a little.”
The talented sophomore went on to describe his playing style to PHI.
“I’d say my biggest strength is probably shooting, and I’m pretty good at passing. I score most of my points from beyond the arc. I’d like to continue to work on my strength and just being more aggressive,” said Mohr, who says he thinks this year’s team is state tournament-worthy.
“Last year I was just an off guard coming off the bench, and there’s a lot more on my shoulders this year than there was last year.”
Mohr added: “I think we’re a better team this year then we were last year, and I think there’s a pretty bright future for us – but we still have some work to do.”
