<p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Okawville 2018 shooting guard <strong>Caleb Frederking</strong> is a smooth two guard that is more of a slasher than his older brother. The sophomore is quick taking it to the hoop and strong with the basketball. Also flashes the ability to shoot it with a clean shot mechanically. Solid athlete in the open floor and has length defensively.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">The sophomore broke down his game.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“Tall guard that can shoot a little bit and handle it. I can post up if they really need me too. I will get rebounds and defend. Just try to be an all-around player.”</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Frederking ran with the Illinois Bears 15U this past summer and spoke about the experience.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“We won a couple tournaments. Got second or third in a lot of tournaments. We had a pretty decent summer.”</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">He talked about how that will help prepare him for the high school season.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“I will be ready for more fast tempo games. I will be ready to defend faster guards. Be all around ready for the season.”</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">The guard heavy team should be one of southern Illinois’ top small school teams this season.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“We only lost one senior. We have a really deep bench. We will hopefully make a state run this year. Try to go as far as we can.” </span></span></p>
