Mr. Basketball Candidates: Tim Finke

<p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">In this series we take a look at the potential candidates for Mr. Basketball in the state of Illinois for this upcoming season.  Here we profile Champaign Central 2018 shooting guard <strong>Tim Finke</strong>.</span></span></p><p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Profile:</span></span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">With the transfer of Jeremiah Tilmon out of state Champaign Central sophomore Tim Finke becomes the top prospect regardless of class in the state of Illinois.  The athletic wing can both dunk on you with explosion and drill threes for days on the perimeter.  His upside is tremendous and should be under consideration for five-star status nationally.</span></span></p> <p><br /> <strong><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Odds to Win:</span></span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">20/1</span></span><br />  </p> <p><br /> <strong><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Why he Can Win:</span></span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Finke put up impressive numbers from the jump at Centennial last year.  After the transfer to Champaign Central Tim and his senior brother Nick will be the center pieces of a team that should be very good.  Finke will be the must see guy in central Illinois this season and has the recognition with his famous last name in the heart of the state.  They will play games both in the Chicago area and in southern Illinois so he will be seen throughout the state during the season.</span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Obstacles to Win:</span></span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Sophomores do not win this award period.  Even if they are the best prospect it never happens.</span></span></p>
