When Meade won its first Class 4A state championship last winter, forward Tristan Easton was a big reason why.
He scored 23 points in an 81-47 rout of Springbrook in the state semifinals at College Park. Then, when the Mustangs advanced to the state championship two days later, he posted nine points and five rebounds as Meade routed Bethesda-Chevy Chase, 80-45.
Now, Easton is back for more. The senior forward averaged 16.7 points per game last year as Meade rolled to a 26-2 record and that state title.
He’ll be one of the most-watched players in the state. The 6-foot-3 forward is dangerous in many ways at both ends of the floor.
Easton was the team’s top scorer last year, and it will be interesting to see if he leads the offense again or works to become an even more complete player. Meade won the state title, and Easton’s already made his mark with schools watching him.
