2017 Point Guard Overview

Both have drawn interest and offers from high major conferences and will likely play in a BCS conference.</p> <h2>Division-I</h2><p>There are four other guards with the ability to play Division-I basketball if their academics permit. Cesar Chavez standout <strong>Donald Carter</strong> was solid for Power all of July and has led Chavez throughout the fall. Apollo backcourt mates<strong> Dre Marin</strong> and<strong> Holland Woods</strong> have stepped their game up, especially Marin who raked in 2 Division-I offers in July. Hillcrest’s <strong>Dontez Thomas</strong> has also developed quite the reputation over the past few weeks.</p> <h2>NCAA D2/NAIA D1</h2><p>This group of prospects is not deep at any position. It is headed by 5’11” Copper Canyon standout <strong>Treyvon McCray</strong> and 5’11” Salpointe playmaker <strong>Cameron Miller</strong>. 5’11” <strong>Ezekial Alley</strong> and 5’8” <strong>Habib Arogundade</strong> also have a chance at this level.</p> <h2>NCAA D3/NAIA D2</h2><p>There are a lot of players that fit the description of a NCAA D3/NAIA D2 recruit. Names heading this group include <strong>Andres Mayberry</strong>, <strong>Mikey Silva</strong>, and <strong>Terriq Tshaka</strong>.</p>
