SG Jamal Nixon (Fenwick – 2017)
With Isaiah Coleman-Lands playing on the La Lumiere squad in the scrimmage Nixon moved to on the ball and did a nice job getting into sets. His passing ability is one of the best qualities out of the physical guard. He makes crisp dishes and quality reads with the ball. Jump shot was streaky. As a scorer he is best getting buckets in the paint. Defensively he was outstanding against five star wing Brian Bowen holding him to well below his averages.
SG AJ Youngman (Peoria Manual – 2017)
Youngman has switched over to the Wolves and with a team full of talented slashers and passers it is easy to see what his role will be. Youngman is a plus shooter from the perimeter that can knock them down consistently off the catch. Drilled several huge shots against La Lumiere. Also showed improvement with his pull up jumper.
SG Carson Newsome (Waukegan – 2017)
Newsome is the versatile guy that does the little things. He is a long and rangy defender that has active hands and gets his mitts on the basketball. Offensively plays with a high activity level crashing the glass and having a nose for loose balls. Had one explosive dunk! Jump shot still needs quite a bit of work.
SF Trevian Bell (Joliet West – 2017)
Bell is a physical and athletic wing that should have a monster junior season. He has an explosive first step attacking the basket. Got swatted a couple times against the elite La Lumiere bigs, but Bell kept attacking. His jump shot is a plus offensive weapon as he is very good spotting up and knocking down threes. Needs to be on mid-major radar across the Midwest.
F Justin Hardy (St Charles East – 2018)
Hardy was extremely impressive in his showing for the 16U Wolves. The 6'4″ forward looked more athletic than we saw him just a few months ago as he was dunking with ease in warm ups. Where he excels is shooting the ball. Hardy has always been a knock down shooter from mid-range, but was just as impressive connecting from three point territory. His shot has great mechanics. Positionally is a bit of a SF/PF tweener, but has definitely improved his perimeter skill set.

SG Drew Peterson (Libertyville – 2018)
Peterson is one of the more underrated prospects in the 2018 class. The long and thin wing already has great size for position and should continue to grow. He is very athletic and is smooth attacking the hoop off the bounce. In the lane he finishes with runners and athletic layups. Rebounds well for a guard crashing the glass.
PG Kenny Strawbridge (Rockford Lutheran – 2018)
Strawbridge is a solid lead guard that is more of a combo at this stage. He can really shoot the ball from the perimeter with a good looking stroke. Most efficient in the catch and shoot when spotting up. Made some nice passes, but also turned it over as well.
SG Perry Cowan (DePaul College Prep – 2019)
Cowan has a chance to be the next great star out of the Illinois Wolves program. The athletic and rangy guard stood out first and foremost on the defensive end. His length and lateral quickness play well on that end of the floor as he very rarely allows his man to get in the lane. Offensively he is smooth and fluid with the ball in his hands making quick moves attacking the hoop. Finished well inside and showed potential on a jump shot.
PG Dashon Enoch (OPRF -2019)
Enoch was a complete monster in the 14U vs 15U scrimmage! He is built like a truck with a physical body and he knows how to use it to his advantage. Much like Cowan what the OPRF guard did defensively stood out. He was quick and aggressive getting up into his man creating turnovers. On the other end he did an outstanding job accelerating with the ball and attacking the hoop where he scored through traffic with ease. Has slick handles and used a nice euro step several times. Jump shot came along as the day progressed. Also can distribute the ball in the half court. One of best 2019s we have seen early in the process.
PF Pavle Pantovic (DePaul College Prep – 2019)
The young post has quality size and length at a young age. While not overly athletic at this stage he knows how to fight on the glass and be physical in the paint.
