PRESTON FLAMION – 2016 SF – CARMEL
Flamion is a little undervalued a lot of times and during the Combine he proved that again. Â He's a very good athlete that uses his ability very well. Â Solid ball handler and gets to the rim with speed and athleticism. Â Good all-around wing player who shot the ball pretty well and showed up during the game portion too. Â Versatile guy who can do quite a few things at a few different spots on the floor.
Landon Hall – 2017 SG – Brownsburg
Hall came in as a guy who I figured would do solid in the testing portion of the event but didn't think he would be near the top at all of the tests. Â Hall is just a guy you want on your team for a lot of different reasons and this weekend he showed again why. Â He's deceptively athletic and really strong. Â His understanding of the game allows him to be effective in every game regardless of anything else.
Caleb Coleman – 2017 SF – Hammond
Coleman is a name to watch in the coming months. Â Caleb did fairly well in the testing for the combine and has a body that is only going to get better. Â The 6'5 and growing wing is long and lanky and while very adept at using his body now, he's still learning things with it. Â Tends to be more of a driving player that relies on his athleticism so far but is adding skill in each time he takes the floor.
Michael Thompson – 2016 SF – Mt. Vernon (Fortville)
While undersized, Thompson is one of the best athletes in the state. Â The 6'4 wing is bouncy and tough around the rim. Â Can jump out of the gym and with some length in his arms he's solid at defending as well. Â Thompson looks for his athleticism to carry his game where he can get into the paint and make plays or in the open floor. Â
Isiah Stafford – 2016 PG – SOuth KNox
Stafford, like Hall, was a big surprise from the combine. Â The 6'1 guard is compact and strong and doesn't look like a big time athlete but his testing numbers don't lie, Stafford can play. Â He was really good in the drills testing lateral quickness and quickness with the ball. Â However, the most surprising was his vertical, maybe the last test I thought he would do really well in. Â He had a great event.
