Iman Fazande stood out at the PrepHoops Louisiana Camp last month as one of the biggest surprises to us. He played with Jet Life in the grassroots season this summer with their 15U group.
Iman is a strong athletic guard who is very aggressive. He is the type of player that defenders do not want to have to guard. We caught up with Iman and asked him a few questions.
What do you consider to be the strong points in your game?
“Coaches complement me on my ball handling skills, quickness, and court vision.”
What colleges have reached out and expressed interest in you?
“A school in Kansas and Tulane.”
What parts of your game are you working on this fall to make you a better player?
“I have been working on my jump shot this fall to become a more consistent shooter.”
During the game what do you try to focus on doing Offensively? Defensively?
“Offensively I look to make sure my team gets a high percentage shot very possession. Defensively I focus on getting stops, being vocal, and playing aggressive.”
How do you believe your role will change this high school season for your team?
“Coach Troy Holley and I have become closer. He believes in me and I believe in coach and my teammates. I have to be more of a leader now that Trey Harris has graduated. That means being vocal, getting everyone involved in the game, and keeping the intensity high.”
