Today we spoke with Barry Bradford of Example Sports to discuss their 17U, 16U, and 15U teams.
17U
Record: 30-10
Championships/Accomplishments:
Chicago Summer Challenge Silver Championship, Under Armour Finals 4-1 Tied 1st, Wisconsin Shootout Champions
Key Wins:
Carolina Wolves in UA Finals, Indiana Elite
Overall Thoughts on Season:
Great season of guys playing exceptional team basketball in an environment that's not always conducive for that style. Guys showed they can compete with best teams and players in the country.
Standout Performers:
6'0 PG Micah Bradford has continually showed he is one of, if not the most skilled player in state. Complete guard on and off the ball. Every big game has been the best player on the court. 6'9 Zach Hollywood has found himself averaging 19 points, 11 rebounds, shooting 52% from the field, and 48% from three point. Skilled stretch four with good athleticism only going to get better. 6'7 Jon Marotta 3 stretch 4 who can really shoot it. Has great touch on the post, runs the court and great shot blocker and rebounder. 6'1 2018 PG Brandon Hurt will emerge as one of top prospects in state and country
16U
Record:
22-12
Championships/Accomplishments:
5-2 Atlanta Kings of Court
Key Wins:
Wisconsin Starz Elite
Overall Thoughts on Season:
Productive season team remained competitive.
Standout Performers:
6'8 2017 Logan Windeler athletic 3 who just started AAU but gaining ground fast as he put up big numbers this season. 6'1 G Chris Bell really good two way player that makes game winning plays. 6'4 SG Jaylan Catledge strong athletic two guard that get to the rim and finishes consistently.
15U
Record:
26-9
Championships/Accomplishments:
NY2LA Silver Champion, Wisconsin Shootout Champions
Key Wins:
Mercury Elite, Colorado Elite, Minnesota Starz Elite
Overall Thoughts on Season:
One of toughest teams in State. Very skilled, gritty group. One to watch with several standout kids.
Standout Performers:
6'7 2018 Orlando Allen is as skilled and as good as there is in the state. Can do it all, on the block, mid-range, shoot the 3, put it on floor and defends! 6'8 2019 TJ Wicks athletic, shot blocking, rebounding four with huge upside. 6'2 G Vashawn Simms high octane scorer, 6'1 CG Jalen Chavers pure shooter with high IQ. 5'9 PG Josh Rosenborough gritty defender that attacks on offensive end.
