Braham. This is the year, but no Bob Vaughan. How will that affect this?
Foley. I see Foley I think bad decisions from athletic department.
Holdingford. Definitely need to up that 45 points per game.
Long Prairie-Grey Eagle. Seniors had a huge year, now LPGE transitions.
Melrose Area. State champs, top three scorers back, big expectations.
Milaca. Add some good runs last year but three tough losing streaks.
Mora. Tough year but some good young players.
Osakis. Lost every game they played against a section foe last season.
Pierz. Really like Aaron Weber, think he can have a big year.
Pine City. Overshadowed a bit by some others, but a good program.
Royalton. They won 2 games last year and were a Class A team.
Rush City. .500 a year ago and ready to step forward.
Sauk Centre. Great season last winter but graduated top guys.
St. Cloud Cathedral. Heavy senior losses, good young talent.
St. John's Prep. One of two prep schools in this state.

Thoughts
- The Albany, Melrose, Braham triangle of outstanding will be talked about all season long. How is the best? Who will win? Fun times.
- Braham. This is the year that has been circled for a long time, and now the Bomber program designer Bob Vaughan has retired. We wish Bob best wishes once again.
- For the Bombers with Chris, Alec, John, and Conner as seniors. They have the talent to bring home the gold. Ryan Larson guiding as the PG makes it even better.
- Can Braham get the leadership from the new coach to win the trophy? Will all of those scoring pieces fit together and play the needed team game against other top teams? That's what we are watching.
- Albany moves down from AAA to AA after being one of the best teams in AAA. That is a very rare thing and they are going to have an edge of experience on others.
- Melrose. The state champs. Bringing back top three scorers in Dillon, Drake, and Tyler B. Definitely deserved the number one ranking in Class AA after winning the trophy and bringing back top guys.
- Can they win it again? Tough call. Just getting out of the section is going to be ultra tough. This is definitely one of the top two or three sections in Class AA plus Class AA is so wide open, repeating will be quite tough. But they have the scoring, leadership, and size to be there at the end.
- St. Cloud Cathedral. They have some older players back that are experienced and tough. Add in long shooter Michael Shaeffer and a guy that we are really, really high on in Mitch Plombom, watch out for Cathedral again.
- LPGE and Sauk Centre were really good teams last year, and they are good programs so they will be fine, but contending for section will be tough because of so much graduation loss.
- Really wish I could talk about who is in what sub-section but wasn't able to find that info anyplace.
