Let’s take a look at four stock risers in the class of 2018 at the wing positions.

SG Justin Boyd (Whitney Young)

Boyd took it up another notch in July. He has always had potential and that turned into production as he lit up the nets from deep for Meanstreets 15U during July. The long and rangy two guard has a projectable frame which should allow him to continue to grow. He is great in the catch and shoot from three. Also excels in the open floor as a finisher. Look for him to be a potential shut down defender down the line.

SG Lacey Watson (Rock Island)

No doubt that Watson can be a little up and down at times game in and game out, but the potential is undeniable. When Watson is assertive and in attack mode watch out! He has good handles which allows him to get to the rim with ease. Also can knock down pull up jumpers from mid-range and three.

SF Joffari Brown (St. Josephs)

Brown made an impact on a state championship team as a freshman and showed that confidence in July with the Mac Irvin Fire. The 6’4” wing has a strong and stocky build like his older brother. He attacks the hoop with strength where he finishes in the paint and is starting to perfect the 12-15 pull up jumper.

SF Jalen Boyd (St. Josephs)

Long term Boyd has quite a bit of upside at 6’5” with his long and angular frame. The St. Joseph’s standout is a lefty that can hit from mid-range and shows a good passing feel. Also is a sound rebounder.
