SG Zack Norvell (Simeon)
Norvell is the top dog at the shooting guard position. The lefty is a physical scorer that has improved his all-around game over the last year. The Simeon guard can really get buckets from all three levels and has improved his athleticism. High-major talent in the 2016 class.
SF Isaiah Roby (Dixon)
Roby is a skilled 6’8” wing that has a long, angular, and projectable frame. What you have to like about him is his upside as he might have the highest ceiling in this class. Roby is a plus passer that plays almost a point forward position where he can handle the ball and be a facilitator. Plus athlete that has room to grow as scorer. Committed to Nebraska.
SG Nate Kennell (Metamora)
Kennell is the best shooter in the state period. He does it off the catch moving well around screens to get open as well as pulling up in transition. The growth he has made in his game off the bounce, in the open floor handling the ball, and his overall athleticism has been quite impressive. Kennell is headed to Bradley.
SF Nick Robinson (Kenwood)
Robinson is a big and physical wing that when he is locked in can flat out score! His combination of strength and athleticism make him intriguing at the next level as he can drive to the hoop, but also post his man up. Consistency is the key here. Needs to be on the mid-major radar.
SG Justin Pierce (Glenbard West)
Nobody in the state boosted their stock more in the last six months than Pierce. The 6’5” Glenbard West wing has a thin and rangy body that will fill out once he gets in college. He proved he can score at all three levels with a plus jumper, smooth handles, and sneaky athleticism.
SG James Jones (Bogan)
Jones is an athletic big guard that has shown the ability to score the basketball. He is at his best when his perimeter jumper is falling. His shot from three is streaky, but when it is on he can win his team a game with it. Showed improvement in the open floor with tighter handles. Mid-major to low-major target.
SG Zion Morgan (Kenwood)
The 6’4” shooting guard has long arms and a projectable frame. When he is in attack mode he can be difficult to contain. Morgan displays great handles and gets in the lane with ease slashing well to the hoop where he finishes at the rim. Upside out of this mid-major/low-major prospect.
SG Antonio Williams (Proviso East)
Williams is a bouncy 6’2” scorer that patterns his game after Dwayne Wade. He loves to use his speed, burst, and athleticism in the open floor where he finishes above the rim along with a sweet euro step. Showed growth and consistency in his mid-range game and has potential defensively. Mid-major and low-major prospect.
SF Jacob Cushing (Neuqua Valley)
Cushing exploded in the spring with Mercury Elite at 6’7” with his ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter with great elevation. The senior is a plus passer with a good feel for the game where he can see over defenders. Cushing is committed to Cal Poly.
