His numbers this winter were strong and he did some good things at the 17U level which is why he received four scholarship offers from the NSIC plus some local low major D1 interest.
Bodey has done his homework visiting several of the schools and after consideration from the schools that were still recruiting him heavily, Bodey called Augustana last night and committed to their program.
NHR first heard the news last night but was asked to wait a bit so Bodey could inform all of the programs by this morning. Today the announcement was made and now Behrends is headed to Sioux Falls and will play for Auggie.
This isn't the only good news that the program has had recently. NHR expects another commit soon for the school (from a non Dakota or Minnesota player) plus they have Lucas Walford coming to campus next Tuesday.
Bodey stepped into a nice situation based on what is going on there and follows in the footsteps of locals like Cody Schilling, Casey Schilling, and Zach Huisken who received heavy interest but decided to head down the road and play for Auggie.
