Zyan averaged 19.3 ppg this season past season for the Copperheads (25-4). The Copperheads lost a close one to Riverside HS 63-61 in overtime in the 3rd round of the SCHSL Playoffs.
Hager finished his career with 1,204 points. He connected on 36% (73-204) from downtown this season. Zyan really does a good job of getting space for his shot. He has a bit of a low release at times, but he seems to have a quick trigger.

Zyan had one of the most prestigious careers in program history during his time as a Copperhead, being named All-Region three times and All-State two times. He had yet another terrific shooting night in the Third Round against Riverside on Thursday. Hager had 23 points on 6-10 3FG, several being heavily contested or from deep range. Coach Childers frequently ran elevator actions for Hager and it worked almost every time. There was one play in particular where Riverside even defended it perfectly, but Zyan took a side-step and drained the three anyway.

Hager is another guard on this list who can score the ball at a very high level. Zyan is one of the Top Shooters in the entire state and is a valuable asset to a Catawba Ridge team with high expectations this year. In his Junior Season, he was the AAAA Region 3 Co-Player of the Year and a AAAA All-State Selection. If Hager continues to improve going into the Fall, it will cause problems for defenders all over the State in the Upcoming Season.

Hager is back from an injury for the Copperheads. Zyan can make shots when open on the floor and he understands how to get his shot off in a productive way. The Copperheads will look to surprise some folks this season in the Upstate with some decent talent on this roster.

Zyan is back to lead this Copperheads program. Hager was injured a bit this summer and didn’t play. Zyan can really knockdown shots when he gets things going. He moves well away from the ball and always stays active.
