McCauley is an emerging wing out of Catawba Ride High School in Fort Mill. I first saw him during the scholastic period at the McBee Summer Runs, and he really caught my eye with a combination of shooting and playmaking. Lucas has a nice frame at 6’3″ and is also a football player for the Copperheads.

McCauley looks like he could be an important contributor for Catawba Ridge this season. They have a lot of production to replace on the wings, so Lucas’ shooting ability will be much-needed. Whether he’s hitting shots off the catch or attacking closeouts to get to floaters or strong finishes, his offensive prowess will draw the attention of defenses nightly. McCauley is another guy with some decent size at 6’3″, so he might be worth a shot if a school sees the fit.
