About Zion

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

3’s and D, quick passes

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a dive in the floor type of player, and have been playing like that since 7th grade. My personality is very outgoing.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

No

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership from AAU, and how to play my role from varsity last year. I know how to play as the star and a role player.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Playing varsity was a freshman was very challenging, everytime I touched the ball I was nervous and always looking to give it up. But, getting that experience in early helped me shake off the nerves for my sophomore season.

What type of college are you looking for?

My goal is to go D1 at some point, rather it’s straight from high school, or JUCO first.

One of the more consistent overall players and scorers for the WaHawks, Zion Cook-Berns Zion Cook-Berns Zion Cook-Berns 6'0" | PG Waterloo West | 2027 State IA was on attack mode all night long. Whether he was defending or playing offense, the junior was either doing what he could to get into passing lanes and force turnovers, or working to get down hill and drive to the basket. With the ability to finish with either hand, Cook-Berns got to the basket and finished with soft touch around the rim.
