About Zander
Expert Analysis
Owen Siebring | Prep Hoops Scout
Zander is the kind of player who likely would have a great +/- ratio, if those stats were tracked during AAU tournaments. He’s such a dynamic player that most of his team’s scoring is happening while he’s on the court.
Zander has great ball control; he’s patient on a fast break and waits for open shots to come to him. He’s also incredibly shifty in the open court; he’ll appear locked up by his defender, and somehow finds his way out of it.
Elite ball control allows him to toy with the defense, and he’s got a quick release on his 3-point shot.
Zander’s teammates also seem to have great trust in him. Leading by one late in the game, they made sure the ball was in his hands.

In his final game of the tournament on Sunday morning, Zander proved why he’s a point guard on the rise in the class of 2028.
Zander works incredibly well with the ball in his hands. He’s patient on a fast break; waiting for the open shot to come to him. And he can beat his defender off the dribble. He’s shifty in the open court; and even when he appears bottled up by a defender-he always manages to find his way out.
Zander scored 17 points in his final game of the weekend, utilizing a slick midrange jumper, and a quick release on his 3-pointer. But more than that, he’s a great +/- kind of player: most of his team’s scoring is done while he’s on the floor.
His size belies the fact that he’s also a pretty good rebounder, and he’s able to get on the move quickly after grabbing a board.
This weekend was his first tournament with the Dream Loudly program, and he’s a player looking to make some noise in the upcoming AAU circuit.
