Beyond his scoring, Musa found his teammates with precise passes, leading to easy buckets. I fully expect Yasin Musa Yasin Musa 6'2" | SF/CG Losee Somerset | 2028 State NV to turn some heads during the AAU season. He is an incredibly bouncey guard that knows how to rise above defenders and lay it up or throw it down. Musa also has a quality jump shot in his bag. In addition to his offensive skillset, the lengthy freshman comes up with blocks and deflections on a regular basis.

Yasin Musa Yasin Musa 6'2" | SF/CG Losee Somerset | 2028 State NV impressed me with both his offense and defense these last few months. On offense, I like how he’s aggressive on his takes to the rim. He also knows to use his athleticism, to elevate up over defenders to get his shot off. On defense, he is able to cover most guards thanks to his length and quick reaction time.

Although he’s a freshman, he looked fearless and went straight at veteran players. Over the course of the game he had some very nice finishes in the paint and got to the free throw line as well.

On defense, he has the vertical to go up and block shots. All in all, he has the size, speed, and skill needed to succeed in high school if he keeps putting the work in.

Musa played well in the guard spot on Friday. He has some decent ball-handling skills and wasn’t very phased by the defensive pressure they through at him. On multiple occasions he was able to drive to rack and made some tough finishes. I also like how he uses his athleticism on defense to create turnovers.
