The crafty lefty is tough to contain. He finishes with either hand and has a smooth right-handed floater that keeps defenders guessing.

Corbett combines skill with sneaky athleticism. With long arms and a quick first step, he finds creative ways to get buckets, whether it’s pulling up in the lane or stretching the floor from the outside. 

But what often goes overlooked is his rebounding. For a guard, Corbett crashes the glass well and he can rebound in traffic. His motor, length and timing make him a major asset on both ends. Surrounded by new teammates for this event. Corbett was more aggressive than ever looking for his shots. He’s shown he can run the point guard position in other settings. He was constantly on the attack in transition, and off ball along the perimeters putting up shots. He converted key buckets down the stretch to give his team a lift.

Will Corbrett: Crafty Lefty with a Balanced Attack

Will Corbrett put together a strong showing against Oakland Tech, finishing with 16 points and 5 assists in a well-rounded performance. The lefty guard showed poise and control, running the team while picking his spots to attack.

He’s crafty with the ball in his hands, and being a three-level scorer, Corbett is good at mixing things up by keeping defenders guessing whether he’s pulling up, driving, or dishing. Corbrett can knock down shots from the outside, but he is really dangerous when he gets into the paint. His footwork and his size make him tough to stop around the basket.

What stands out most is his feel for the game. He plays with poise and doesn’t appear to get rattled. He’s a natural scorer who can still get teammates involved and lead his team.

He was productive, quality over quantity minutes for Corbett at this event. He was efficient using foot work, and quality moves to get his shots off. He was working mostly off ball, he produced a couple nice spin moves attacking the baseline using a lil fade away jumper. He spotted up well behind the 3-point line to drop a few in transition. He’s a quality point guard, showing he can be effective off ball as well.

He’s grown a bit and has established himself as a quality combo guard at this stage who can impact games with his style of play. He was aggressive maneuvering his way into the paint from different angles finishing on both sides of the rim. He plays at a good place and can effectively run a team while putting points on the board.
