Rock Hill Names To Know From California

July 10-13 PH NorCal was in Rock Hill South Carolina for the 3SSB Championships checking out California players. A couple of these prospects were already on coaches radars, after playing well against quality competition, college coaches should take a closer look at these rising prospects.    The 6'3 shooting guard is now at Mater Dei. He has a physical style of play with the ball in his hands. He aggressively looks to put points on the board using his body, and hard dribbles to finish around the basket. He has multiple ways of hitting shots off the dribbles, side, and step backs to hit mid-range jumpers, he used footwork for step thru finishes, he hit multiple mid-range, and 3ptrs off the dribble. He's an aggressive defender.     The rising NorCal guard continues to raise his guard skills against quality competition. He impressed with his ability to knock down mid-range and 3-point baskets after using quick dribbles to freeze defenders, and good lift on the release, they're going in. He's taking hits and finishing drives strong going to the basket. He's handling and passing in transition.     Surrounded by new teammates for this event. Corbett was more aggressive than ever looking for his shots. He's shown he can run the point guard position in other settings. He was constantly on the attack in transition, and off ball along the perimeters putting up shots. He converted key buckets down the stretch to give his team a lift.     He's a point guard but showed some combo skills here as we watched him work off ball at times. He brings it up, sets the offense in half-court. He's a willing passer/ball mover. He spots up along the perimeters and corner ready to shoot 3's. His lengthy arms, quick feet and lateral movement help him defend on ball, and get out on shooters, after being in help position.     A big guard with play making skills. In other settings we've seen him actively looking to put point on the board in different ways. Drives to the basket, pull up jumpers, and 3ptrs. At this event, the game we watched, he seemed to be making a conscious effort to be a facilitator. He handled up top, set the offense in half-court at times. He had good dribble drives into the paint looking for the assists. Drive and kick, dish and dump to bigs around the basket. We know he's a capable bucket getter. One of the better 2029 Prospects in NorCal.
