Sticking with the big man theme, Hunter was one of the top out-of-state names that I had the chance to see at The Stage. Playing with Inspire U 17u, the 6’6″ center out of Michigan finished on the roll, cleaned up on pubacks, and was very comfortable with his back to the basket throughout the weekend. Another excellent small college prospect for coaches to take a look at.

The big man in the paint, Hunter did the dirty work for Inspire U with strong rebounding and interior scoring. Starting the second half by getting fouled on a putback layup attempt, Hunter wanted to catch and finish close to the rim. Hunter showed soft touch with his back to the basket and slipped a screen to knock down a push shot. I’d imagine Hunter gets a lot of small college interest this summer if he continues to produce at the level I saw on Saturday morning.

Hunter is a talented player that should have more reviews. He’s a versatile defender that can guard all over the floor. Offensively, Hunter can work off the high post and find a look off 1 or 2 dribbles. He has nice finishing touch around the rim. Hunter can flip the ball in over the top of a defender.
