It is hard to find young big men that have the combination of size and some interior skill. Johnson is a massive interior presence that you can run plays for with the idea of him scoring it in the post. The 6’7″ center absorbs contact, makes defenders bounce off of him, and stood out with his ability to finish with both hands around the rim. His footwork was very impressive for a young post player of his size. Look for Johnson to an immediate impact player for Delta High School. He is absolutely one of the top prospects in Indiana’s Class of 2029 coming out of Sunday’s Freshman Showcase.
