How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Fast-paced guard who thrives in transition, creating plays and finishing at the rim. Floor general point guard, controls the tempo, facilitates offense, and knocks down open shots.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Relentless competitor who thrives under pressure, always looking to lift teammates. High-energy motivator who brings intensity to every play and refuses to back down.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Devout Christian athlete.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Communicating on and off the court, keeping my team focused, and leading by example in practice. Teamwork is one of my biggest strengths — I’m always looking to involve teammates, celebrate their successes, and adapt my game to what the team needs.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Balancing school, basketball, and part-time work was difficult, but it strengthened my time management skills and mental toughness.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a competitive basketball program, strong coaching staff, and a team culture built on trust and hard work, along with solid academic support. A school where I can grow as a player, contribute to the team, and also challenge myself academically in a supportive community.

Tyler has speed, reliable decision-making, precise ball handling skills, and a game-winning IQ – all of the things that coaches look for in a lead guard. He rocks an efficient style of play and doesn’t waste any movements which helps him set the tempo for his Kentucky Ambition MHC squad. His tenacity and willingness on defense are also worth noting. He has the defensive instincts necessary to guard his position and disrupt when his team needs it most. A do-it-all point guard who’s more than capable of leading a team.

Bartley leads Thomas Nelson in nearly every offensive category this season and has had some high scoring games. With good size at the guard spot, Tyler is able to attack the bucket but is also a good shooter who is making 35% of his three pointers. With his ability to score well and get to the free throw line, Bartley is starting to see his name ring with some colleges this season, too.

Bartley was firing shots from near NBA range in the game I caught as he was confident to take extremely ambitions attempts but also make them pretty consistently. A talented scoring guard, I’ll be looking for Bartley to cut down on his dribbling as he matures as a player and prepares for the college level. An extremely talented offensive guard, Bartley was scoring the basketball at a high level this weekend and showed me some offensive ability that gives him potential at the college level down the road.
