Knocked down the spot three from the right wing and showed confidence stepping into multiple pull‑up jumpers, including a two‑dribble elbow pull and a top of the key three off a screen. He finished through contact on a follow‑up offensive rebound for and and 1. Tyler made a high‑IQ hustle play by saving a loose ball and calling timeout, then later took a charge and dove on the floor without hesitation. Jumped passing lanes for a steal, pushed the break, and found a teammate on the lane run for a layup, he competed, played tough, and hit a clutch baseline pull‑up to put his team ahead.

Newsom, out of the St. Luke’s School in Connecticut, checks in at #14 among the shooting guards and #58 overall. Newsome is a physical guard that excels scoring off the bounce in the mid-range and from behind the arc. He does a nice job of elevating into his jumper, finishes through contact around the rim, and has established himself as one of the best offensive rebounding guards in New England. Defensively, he can guard any position on the floor, using his athleticism to defend on the perimeter and his strength to hold off bigger forwards in the paint.

Newsom started off a bit slow against the Middlesex School on Friday, but he had a ridiculously dominant second half that propelled St. Luke’s to a really solid win. The 6-foot-4 wing is a phenomenal athlete and really excels with a head of steam in transition. He can elevate for contact finishes at the rim, but he can also make on target, on time passes to his teammates once the defense inevitably collapses on him. Newsom should be getting scholarship looks and will really improve his game by being able to make a higher percentage of his outside shots. The junior has time to figure that out, though, and he’s a super intriguing long-term prospect.

Newsom is an athletic specimen who’s quite versatile on the court as a result of his combination of size, strength and coordination. He had some awesome bump-off moves against Brewster and is a really special finisher at the rim with both hands. The 6-foot-4 wing is going to turn heads this season for St. Luke’s and should get scholarship looks as he continues to put up numbers.

Tyler Newsom recently earned a Division I offer from. He’s an athletic, do-it-all wing who plays above the rim and can impact the game in multiple ways. Newsom sees the floor well, scores efficiently from all three levels, and is active crashing the boards. He also brings serious energy on both ends of the floor, defending aggressively and making high-effort plays on every possession.

+34 (#108 to #74)
Newsom, a talented guard out of St. Luke’s School, shot up 34 spots in this rankings update. A big guard that’s now pushing 6’5″, he checks all the boxes as a scorer on the offensive end of the floor. He’s both crafty and creative, has some real wiggle off the bounce, knows how to create in isolation situations, and finishes in a variety of ways around the rim. He’s got good burst, can finish through contact in the paint, and makes shots off the bounce from behind the arc. On the other end, he’s a high level perimeter defender that is disruptive both on the ball and in passing lanes. A real Division I prospect, he’s got an offer list that seemingly grows each month.

has a ton of offensive ability at his disposal. He was getting to the rack through contact, and using good footwork to hit fadeaway shots in the post. He was making pull up threes too, while also providing rebounding and transition passing.

was one of the youngest participants but clearly belonged among his peers. He showed off intriguing playmaking the entire night, both in the half-court and full-court settings. He found cutters easily on the perimeter while also consistently finding the open man on the move for easy points with a comfortable handle to boot. He was also competing on the defensive end and was truly making an impact on the game without being a scoring threat at all.
