Trent’s significant level of varsity experience from the previous season will do him wonders as he steps into a more substantial role for the highly touted Bruins this year. Although on the receiving end of portal movement after landing #18-ranked 2027 Garrison Gilvin Garrison Gilvin 6'3" | SG/PG Ballard | 2027 State KY , Ballard was also hit heavy by the graduation bug. Trent’s 3pt shooting accuracy is reliable and it should serve as a timely energizer that drives momentum during scoring runs. I’m intrigued to see how he handles himself when opportunities to make decisions present themselves, but I anticipate his handle, speed, and court vision will help him thrive.

Pleasant is a crafty player who can score the ball at a high level. Ballard will not need him to be a scorer first so I think Trent has a lot of room to improve the other aspects of his game over the next year. The Ballard backcourt is loaded but I expect Trent to carve himself out a role this season with a Bruin team that has Rupp Arena aspirations.
