Michael Schneiderman | Prep Hoops Scout
Played the point position along with another guard during first game of 5’s. Has a quick and shifty dribble to keep defenders on their heals. A couple times he really put on the burners to get down hill fast in transition to create offensive. Is comfortable handling against 1+ guys when drawing defenders into the action. Screened on the ball multiple times and consistently was moving off of it. Made a smooth cross back dribble to create space and splash home a 3. Mobility and speed are already there for post grad level.

Team’s secondary ball handler and is really comfortable in that spot. Made a few longer range 3’s while dribbling into his shot. Not afraid to pull the trigger if not being guarded and will convert. Had a cool baseline take to the basket and finished with a floater over a taller defender. Has a pretty smooth dribble and can create space from the defender in doing so. Had him down for a team high 18 points tonight while shooting it at a high clip in a tough hard game.

Size didn’t matter much for Tray Alford as he used his size and speed to squeak past defenders. One of the fastest players at the showcase was always threatening to go coast to coast to score or pass to the trailing man. He showed his shooting range knocking down a lot of threes including some deep ones. At times he controlled the tempo of the game with his quick handle which allowed his team to have a fast-paced offense.

He’s a smaller point guard at 5’9” but has plenty of room to keep growing. Showed excellent speed up the floor with outstanding footwork to break off defenders. Super crafty ball-handler who also got guys involved at a high clip. Started to shoot more as the game went on. Eventually hitting a deep 3-pointer in the games final minutes vs Waubonsie Valley.
