Dean, a shot blocking big out of Stoneham in Massachusetts, checks into the rankings update at #160. A multi-sport athlete, he does a nice job of playing with toughness on the defensive end of the floor, where he uses his size and length to his advantage as a shot blocker and rebounder. He’s really good in drop coverage and does a nice job of blocking and altering shots without fouling. Offensively, he runs hard in transition, has a huge catch radius in the post, and has developed his ability to finish through contact around the rim. He sets solid screens, rolls hard out of them, and shows developing touch as a finisher when turning over either shoulder.
