MacPhee has a case as one of the best shooters in my rankings. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged over 18ppg for Stoneham last season and made 60 threes, more than anyone in his conference. His big and long frame, when combined with his quick shooting stroke, make him quite difficult to get consistent contests on. But he also uses his physical tools to drive closeouts and bully players in the paint when he gets the chance. MacPhee should be the focal point of Stoneham’s offense this season and will be ready for it after a nice spring and summer with NE Elite.

MacPhee impressed me Friday night with his willingness and ability to play a specified role. He didn’t necessarily dominate the ball like some of the other top performers at WPI’s camp, but he showcased a fundamentally sound offensive game and some high basketball IQ. He has a nice-looking shot from three and does a really good job moving without the ball, but he also drives closeouts effectively and makes simple, on-target passes to teammates when they’re available. MacPhee should be a D3 basketball player by the time he graduates high school, and a big spring and summer with NE Elite would definitely help his case.

MacPhee is an excellent shooter who has done a commendable job leading a talented Stoneham squad this season. The 6-foot-1 guard is a flamethrower who does a really good job setting hit feet when coming off screens and has a beautiful, above-the-head release that makes it difficult to get a good contest on him. Some added strength on drives to the rim would be huge for him, but the junior has another year to figure that out. Stoneham is already in the sweet 16 after a win over Weston last night, so perhaps they can keep it rolling.
