Michael Schneiderman | Prep Hoops Scout
I saw Banks’ game this past weekend for the first time with his Curie squad. They may be a bit undersized but the team plays a really up tempo style game and he fits right into that scheme. When we talk about old school CPS type guards, Banks fits the mold. He may not outsize or outmuscle an opponent but he’s going to provide a ton of tenacity and grit to out work a team on both ends of the floor. Today he showed a lot of the same stuff that he did this past weekend. His first step is a challenge to stay in front when he has the rock and on the defensive end he will help provide turnovers. His hangtime at the rim is noteworthy to remember as well. The senior Condor should be in store to help win a lot of games this year.

Watched Curie play in their early afternoon game on Friday and Banks showed a relentless downhill motor with the ball. Consistently was utilized as a slasher to hit tough angles and use his speed and quickness to get to gaps. Finished through heavy traffic multiple times and absorbed contact on several occasions. His shiftiness on his bounce allows him to create separation and difficulty to contain in isolation scenarios. Defensively helped create multiple turnovers with 2 other solid back court guards and will be one of the main pieces to the puzzle this upcoming season for the Condors.
