Reid is having an under the radar breakout season, as his best skills may go unnoticed. He’s been a force on the defensive end, protecting the rim and securing the backboards for the Tigers this season. His best performance was perhaps his 17 point 8 rebound game against AIM College Prep.

Got a glimpse of Reid up in Reno for the WIld West Shootout and liked his frame and motor. I was also a fan of his rebounding ability, as he was able to grab more than his share of 50/50 opportunities. Currently he’s on a good Douglas squad that has ambitions of returning to the 5A Final Four, his skill and added frontcourt depth go a long way to helping them reach that goal.

Reid is a long agile big that plays for Douglas. The top 25 center has a chance to have a major impact for a Douglas squad looking to reach the 5A final four again this year. His best skill is his rebounding, as Reid has shown a knack for grabbing tough in traffic boards for his team.

Reid was a bundle of activity. He ran the floor, rebounded in traffic and still found time to finish around the rim. He’s a decent rim protector as well, blocking a couple of shots this weekend. He was strong in the Tigers opening game against Birmingham, finishing with 10 points in the contest.

Reid was one of the best rebounders I saw on the day. The big man has a good combination of athleticism, determination and size that allowed him to grab both in traffic, and out of area boards. He also was good catching and finishing around the rim, showing decent hands and skill.
