About Tate
Expert Analysis
Michael Herrick | Prep Hoops Scout
Sunde was productive on offense and defense this spring. I caught some of his tape, and Tate was impressive on O, this kid can create and score the rock. On D, Sunde looked tough guarding 1-5, he is versatile. He is also shooting the 3-ball extremely well.

Sunde has put together a huge spring and continues to impress with the way he competes and produces for SSA. Despite playing on a smaller team, Sunde is regularly tasked with guarding bigger opponents and consistently embraces that challenge with toughness and effort. Offensively, Tate is one of the best shooters in the class and has the ability to consistently knock down shots from deep, even with defenders closing hard and hands in his face. He spaces the floor, plays with confidence, and continues to show value as a scorer and playmaker. Sunde is a quality player with a bright future ahead as an up-and-coming contributor for the Horace Hawks.

Tate was solid all weekend on the defensive end. He also rebounded and shot the ball well. He was very consistent across every level against the high competition that the team faced.

I’ve written this before, but Sunde is an upside prospect, especially if he can take a nice growth spurt and be a shooting guard with some solid length. Because he’s one of the top 14U shooters I’ve seen this offseason.
