is a guard who consistently demonstrates a high basketball IQ, making smart decisions that benefit his team on every possession. He understands spacing, timing, and when to attack versus when to facilitate, allowing him to run the offense efficiently and keep defenses off balance. Rowley rarely forces plays, instead finding the open man, managing the game’s tempo, and making the right play in pressure situations. His awareness, poise, and ability to read the floor make him a dependable and intelligent playmaker who elevates the performance of those around him.

Simon may have been one of the most underrated performers at Friday’s camp. He’s clearly made physical strides, now standing out as a strong, well-built perimeter player who has added noticeable size and strength. Rowley consistently looked to attack off the dribble, favoring his left hand and finding success both in the midrange and at the rim. He showed the ability to absorb contact, maintain balance, and make the right play in traffic. With a steadily improving perimeter jumper, his offensive game has taken a significant step forward in recent months.

The lefty guard Rowley is a solid driving threat and playmaker. He’s great in transition, able to collect rebounds and get ahead of the defense for layups. He’s a shifty ball handler and creative finisher. Rowley is also a willing playmaker with good vision and feel for the game.

The sophomore lefty was arguably the most effective and efficient guard at the Expo. He got anywhere he wanted off the dribble and dealt out a bevy of impressive assists. When he wanted, he could get to the goal or pull up for a jumper. Rowley is quick and skilled with the ball in his hands and makes a lot of good decisions while playing at a high speed. While a lot of guards appeared either unable to mesh with their teammates or just wanted to take shots, Rowley seemed able to read his teammates and connect with them.

Atchison High School will be really good next season. But they will be without one of their weapons in Rowley, who appears to be headed to Topeka West for his sophomore season. As a freshman, he gave the Phoenix another slick playmaking guard who could create his own shot. The lefty played a key role in Atchison’s trip to 4A state and was voted the Meadowlark Conference Newcomer of the Year.
