About Sidney

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a player that can defend multiple positions with length and athleticism, can shoot the ball from three and mid range, willing passer, shot blocker and solid rebounder.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

On the court, I’m confident and hardworking. Willing to face any challenges on the court. Off the court, I’m quiet and reserved; enjoying time to myself.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed skills of being a team player to help team meet goals. In addition, my leadership skills on the court have improved through my years of playing.

What type of college are you looking for?

I prefer a college that has a music/audio production major that would allow me to develop my musical skills. Regarding basketball, looking for a program that would allow me to showcase my skills as a defender, perimeter shooter and other all around skills.

Rounding out the first group of stock risers is Sidney Montgomery Sidney Montgomery Sidney Montgomery 6'3" | SF/SG Liberty | 2026 State SC . Montgomery didn’t have glaring numbers in the 2025-26 season, putting up just 6.9 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game, but he did have an impact that expanded beyond the box score for a solid Liberty squad. He has intriguing length to be a factor defensively and makes plays above the rim on both ends of the floor, too. Sidney holds one offer from Columbia International University.

Sidney caught our eye at the Prep Hoops Carolinas Showcase and has followed it up with a few good showings to start the high school season. Montgomery is the Red Devils’ second leading scorer through four games at 11.0 Points Per Game, and he’s now the third member of their talented roster to be ranked in the Prep Hoops SC 2026 Rankings.
