Another big-time athlete, Nieves helped his team win the championship as he’s tough to stop in the open court. The chemistry his team has built over the summer certainly paid off in this fall league as their team shared the ball and got open shots. Thomas Worthington could surprise some people this winter with some of their returning pieces and new faces coming together this winter.

Nieves is an athletic wing who has the opportunity to breakout in the OCC on a Thomas Worthington squad that graduated a lot of their top talent. Playing with Midwest Basketball Club Mills this spring, Nieves has taken a step with his consistency game to game, scoring in transition and making an impact athletically. Continuing to develop his perimeter shot is going to be a key for Nieves as he’s got the athleticism and motor to play right away at the small college level, watch out for Nieves this winter in central Ohio.

Nieves showed flashes of being a very nice guard. Long and skinny off-ball guard that attacks his spots well. He has a good mid-range pull-up game. He elevates very high on his jump shot. Nice jumper. I could see him going off in games where he was able to find some more consistency. I like the game of this 2024 guard.
