Caught first game of team’s play of 5v5 action. Not afraid to get on the floor for loose balls. Did so multiple time throughout the day. Offensively jab stepped hard and got to the rim to consume contact. Has a high rise on finishes. Utilized more dribble drive action using a pump fake and coming hard off a ball screen to draw defenders in and then kick out. Went full length solo to convert. Overall plays with good attitude on both ends of the ball.

Covington, a wing from Romeoville, utilized an effective shot-fake to get past defenders and create opportunities in the paint. He demonstrated court awareness, knowing when to cut and reposition himself to find open windows on the floor. Covington has a good-looking shot from the perimeter, but he needs to work on making his attempts more consistently.

The Romeoville forward immediately stood out to me as one of the standout prospects. His strength became clear when facing slower defenders, as he excelled in attacking with determination. His dribbling skills allowed him to cover ground, enabling him to drive to the rim effectively from different areas of the court. Additionally, he showcased his IQ as a solid cutter, consistently positioning himself around the rim and displaying a variety of moves to score.
He displayed an ability to highpoint rebounds and capitalize on offensive rebounding opportunities with finesse. What sets him apart is his effort on the court, in every play, showcasing his potential and promising upside as a player.
