Sebastian has been the leader for this Auburn Mountainview team that has multiple players who will play college basketball beyond their high school careers. Bash is one of those guys as he is committed to Western Oregon, a Division 2 school. In their district semi-final game, Gig Harbor got a solid 12-15 point lead and then Bash started to take over. He put the game in his hands and helped lead Auburn Mountainview to the win and dropped 24 points.

His team loses a couple of key guys from last years squad, and that squarely puts the focus on Arius. He’s a tall guard who has shown the bag and shooting ability to score at a high level, and some added strength should play a big role in helping him weather the added responsibility this year. The shots will be there to put up some big numbers but can he elevate his team and show the decision-making and playmaking necessary to be a true POY candidate?

Sebastian is a player who I think can do big things on the court and is just now starting to display his elite talent. His energy comes from the defensive side of the ball.He is one of the hardest working players on the court, every time he steps on the court. Arius causes havoc on the defensive end, having deflections, getting loose balls, and always communicating. His offensive game is evolving nicely as he has an elite deep shot and is gaining the confidence to get downhill with either hand.

The tall guard was especially deadly as a rhythm shooter over the opening weekend, hitting from all over the floor with midrange jumpers and some deep 3s. He can put a lot of pressure on defenses to extend and keep track of him off the ball with his ability to get his shot off and hit from any spot.

Auburn Mountainview got off to a slow start this month, dropping their first three games before finally breaking the seal against Puyallup at the King Showcase. Arius had his best game of the month in that pivotal game, scoring 20 points, nabbing eight boards, dishing out four assists and swiping three steals. On the month, he’s averaging 12.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 2.3 steals and 0.7 blocks. He’s a kid that can really get it going from deep, drilling three 3s versus Puyallup from NBA range, but he’s also a solid passer off his downhill drives. His Lions have rattled off five in a row now and have two huge games left on the schedule against Todd Beamer and Auburn. Both teams sit above the Lions in the NPSL.
