Of all the players I saw on Friday, Corn was the most pleasant surprise. This guy can really play. His quickness, length and basketball feel are big assets. So, too, are his ability to make shots, drive to the basket and use his defensive prowess to get into passing lanes for steals and deflections. Playing against likely the most stacked team at the event, Ryan had his team in it until the very end as he was knocking down a number of tough shots from the perimeter. Whether he was running off screens to catch and shoot on the move, or creating separation with a quick step-back, Ryan found ways to get his shots off an put points on the board. He put up 9.5 points per game last season as a sophomore, but with two of Menominee Nation’s top three scorers from last season graduated, we could see those numbers shoot up as a junior.
