Callies game continues to expand for Berthoud, and he’s making teams pay for underestimating him night after night. While many label him as just a shooter, especially with his place among the top five in three pointers made in the state that only scratches the surface of what he brings. He has excellent handles, creates real separation and can score efficiently from anywhere on the floor. When he gets into a rhythm, he’s capable of erupting for monster performances, highlighted by his season high 36-point outing. Averaging 16.8 points per game, Callies has clearly grown into his role as a senior, placing more emphasis on leadership, game control and getting teammates involved, making him a far more complete and dangerous offensive threat. That growth into a complete offensive weapon, combined with consistent production and a clear impact on winning, is why he continues to climb the rankings

Ryan moves up in the rankings after leading Berthoud with 14 points, 4.3 assists, 3 rebounds, and nearly 2 steals a night, including a 31-point breakout game a season ago. Defenses are going to look to slow him down and he has to respond with production. He’s a tough shot-taker and tougher shot-maker, especially from deep, and still creates off the dribble or flows off-ball into rhythm looks. With defenses loading up, he’ll need an even bigger jump, but his tempo and spacing fit make Berthoud dangerous. Big year coming for him.

Callies is shaping up to be one of Berthoud’s purest offensive weapons this season. He brings real shooting touch, deep range and the confidence that keeps defenders glued to him the moment he crosses half court. His spacing alone changes how defenses have to play as he stretches the floor, opens driving lanes and forces constant adjustments. Callies instinctively finds open pockets on the floor, drifts into gaps, relocates after passes and always giving his teammates a clean outlet. When he gets in rhythm from three, it’s trouble. Expect him to be a major spark for his teams offense and a player opponents can’t afford to lose track of

Callies really knows how to make life tough for defenders with the way he plays. His speed and tempo are a constant challenge keeping defenders on their toes. His ball handling skills are next level, and he always seems to make the right decision when running point. When off the ball, Callies doesn’t just stand still—he’s always working hard to get open, using screens to create space and put himself in the perfect position to score. While he’s great from anywhere on the court, it’s his three point shooting that really stands out. The way he knocks down shots from deep range with ease is seriously impressive. Whether it’s a contested shot or a wide-open look, he’s a threat every time he steps beyond the arc

Callies’ perimeter shooting has been particularly valuable at Berthoud, contributing far and away the most three point attempts in this group. Contributing 84 of this group’s 173 three point attempts, he is a volume shooter to say the least. As well comfortable as a slasher off the ball, he does a great job being proactive without the ball to pressure the defense.
