Every year Miller adds more and more to his game. There’s always been the foundation of a well drilled “ISO” game as a freshman and sophomore. But jumps in athleticism as junior and senior have fully unlocked his scoring package. Now he regularly throws it down in transition and halfcourt. While also having more fluidness to his deep bag of scoring moves. Throw in the fact that he drains 25-30 footers with ease, and he’s been nearly unstoppable this season with Moore. It’s an indictment to how the college process has changed for high school recruits that we’re headed into the final weeks of his career and there’s not more buzz around him for D1 college coaches. One thing is for sure, Miller is a next level scorer. And there’s a home for him somewhere.

It’s a broken record at this point, but Miller simply keeps producing as a skilled, multi-facted scorer. His range extend well past even the college three point line. If defenders don’t respect his range, he will pull from distance. When they do close out, he’s now stronger and quicker off the dribble. His long arms and good hang time body control make him an exciting and acrobatic finisher in traffic. While the jump in athletic ability often gives him showtime slams when given the runway. Miller simply keeps producing and is a priority target for any college looking for instant offense.

What got Miller started on the night wasn’t scoring at first, it was a pair of athletic blocks at the rim in the first half. Then the scoring starting to flow, especially in the second half. He has parking lot range from three and can do damage all over the court. During one stretch, he hit his signature spin move, which includes great body control plus long arms to finish at the rim. Also got loose after setting a ball screen for a two handed oop. Miller is having a scintillating senior season, with a full scoring bag and this was a statement win for Moore to stay in the race for the Class 6A District 1 title.

Miller’s full scoring ability was on display. He drilled 25+ three pointers with ease. While also appearing physically stronger. That improved strength was most evident on a first half drive where he was more decisive, quickly got downhill and threw it down with two hands. Continues to have a good in-between game with a variety of moves in the mid-range. Along with the ability to draw fouls at the rim. College programs looking for instant offense should make Miller a priority.

Advanced “ISO” game combined with sharp shooting from deep. Soft touch on his release, that gets the kind role on rims, or is simply sweet swish. Plays with the swagger of a scorer who spends hours honing his craft. Athleticism has picked up as he’s matured, which combined with his long wingspan makes him an incredibly tough cover on drives. Especially as he continues to develop more counters, making him unpredictable for defenders. Good luck stop Miller this fall at his new school, Moore.

It’s fun to watch good players battle through adversity. It’s what helps turn good prospects into great prospects. On the night, Miller was a marked man against Putnam City West’s physical playing style. And he did not always get the kindest whistle from the refs. But that did not deter him. The junior stayed hooked up on the defensive end, and pushed it off misses and other transition opportunities to get momentum rolling his way. Eventually, he started to earn trips to the line and it often come with more decisive plays. One of his better scores on the night came when he went baseline against the 6 foot 8 Rayfield, then used the rim to protect the ball on a great reverse layup finish. This was an important growth sign, as the skilled junior continues to have one of the best scoring packages in Oklahoma.
Miller also saved some of his best plays for the final moments. After Mustang had trailed for much of the second half, it was a transition take by the junior that nudged them ahead in the fourth. Then he stepped up on the defensive end. First it was using his long arms to deflect a baseline out of bounds pass, forcing a clutch turnover. Then he stayed big and protected the rim, forcing a miss that would help Mustang go on to win 54-50. Now, Miller has an even bigger test against Edmond North on Friday night.

Miller had a strong sophomore season and has taken his game up even a higher level as the “Go to Guy” for the Broncos. He continues to have arguably the deepest bag when it comes dribble moves, counters and footwork in the state. To go along with deep skillset, there’s more burst to his game when it comes to finishing at the rim and in the halfcourt. Miller is now playing faster and more active on the glass. Which when he grabs defensive boards, his ability to push it with coast to coast takes has started to allow him to hurt defenses beyond just his trademark halfcourt ISO game. Scoring is always needed at the next level and the Bronco continues to make steady strides to prove he’s a next level scorer.

It was a statement game for the junior, who was stronger and more sudden with his movements on drives. He took over in the third quarter, which included grabbing defensive boards and going coast to coast. Along with looking quicker in transition, he’s more decisive in the half-court. While there’s times he still busts out his ISO game, he’s now more prone to go the second he gets the ball. On those quick and more sudden drive,s he can either play off two feet with more violent and successful stops. While also mixing the ability to hang in the air and use his long arms to get off shots in traffic around the rim.

The junior remains a big time shooter from distance. Today’s combination of long range shooting and the damage he did off the dribble gives him a strong claim among the best scorers in not only the Class of 2025 but in any grade in Oklahoma.

The MVP of the tournament with a 24 points and 11 rebounds championship game performance, Miller put on a show from distance in the second half. He also got out in transition for an impressive two handed “head tap”. The dunk was a good long term sign, as his foundational skill work on drives is among the best in the state. And while he does a great job of dictating the pace when driving, especially as he has counter moves, Miller does still need to become a stronger and more explosive finisher in the halfcourt. Once he has more pop to his game when attacking the rim, it will be a real “look out” moment for the rest of the state.
