Expert Analysis
Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
A First Team All-District selection, Carmichael is a strong, athletic wing who brings physicality and production to both ends of the floor. Averaging 13.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game, he consistently impacts the game as a scorer and on the glass. He rebounds well for his position, attacking the ball with toughness and tracking it outside of his area.
Defensively, Carmichael embraces the challenge of guarding multiple positions, using his strength and athleticism to stay in front of ball handlers and compete against bigger wings. Offensively, he can score within the flow of the game, attack downhill, and finish through contact. His combination of strength, versatility, and two-way competitiveness makes him a valuable wing prospect who contributes in ways that translate to winning basketball.

-Carmichael popped in a matchup with Loyola as an athletic defender that can strap up either guard spot. The South County transfer was physical throughout the afternoon, bumping his matchup off their spot and providing good help defense to stunt at ballhandlers without fouling. Offensively, he’ll need to get up to speed on Hayfield’s system before thriving at that end his putbacks around the basket kept Hayfield in the game.
