He changes speeds well and sees the floor for a young prospect. Expect this rising sophomore to be among Virginia’s top point guards in the 2029 recruiting class.

Christian led his team in scoring, averaging 16.0 points per game while serving as a steady presence at the point guard position. He showcased excellent ball-handling and playmaking skills, controlling the tempo of the game with great pace and poise. Christian consistently made smart decisions with the ball in his hands and demonstrated the ability to create opportunities for both himself and his teammates. A reliable shooter from beyond the arc, he kept defenses honest while also doing a great job of finding the open man and facilitating the offense. His combination of leadership, skill, and composure made him one of the top floor generals in the division.

Towe earned First Team All-District honors for Hayfield this season and continues to emerge as one of the more intriguing young backcourt prospects in the 2029 class. A skilled scoring guard, he is capable of putting the ball in the basket at all three levels and plays with a polished offensive feel for his age. Towe changes speeds well, creates separation off the dribble, and consistently makes smart decisions with the basketball in his hands. Combined with his high basketball IQ and scoring instincts, he has a very bright future as a backcourt prospect.

Christian Towe Christian Towe 5'10" | PG Hayfield | 2029 State VA had a strong showing at the CBG Grassroots Tip off. The 2029 Guard scored 22 points and 16 points in his two games for CTAB Elite. Towe utilizes the backboard well on his layups and utilizes the rim to protect the ball at angles. He has a bit of a set shot but can shoot the three well. He does a great job at attacking the top foot and reading defenders’ hips. Towe has legitimate speed and explosiveness moving from right to left, coupled with a deadly crossover. Towe in his two games, showed an ability to finish through contact on drives. One thing I’m excited to highlight about this kid is his hand-eye coordination. He made multiple saves from out of bounds and tipped in his own rebounds from some unorthodox angles. This showcases his ball tracking as well as a quick second jump. He helps the team gang rebound and has good help defense instincts on drives. To top it all off, he has great ball security, limits turnovers, keeps his dribble alive against ball pressure, and makes some solid passing reads. Overall, a high-impact player and a guy to keep your eyes on the next few years.
