About Robert
Expert Analysis
Donald Tatum | Prep Hoops Scout
Robert Wright is playing with a ton of confidence and is showing his potential as a lead guy with ProSkills this summer. He is interesting because he is a noticeable second or third guy on a top-level team, but in the Live Period, he is showing that he can be the guy who keeps coaches up at night trying to figure out how to stop him. He is a three-level scorer, but his motor sets him apart from many players. He naturally moves to the ball and finishes through contact around the rim. Robert is an EYBL double-double kid, and that’s hard to do. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and is on a mission to dismiss any doubters of his next-level potential.

His motor was nonstop, impacting every facet of the game that he could. A true defensive disruptor, he consistently jumped passing lanes and ripped ball-handlers with intensity. His ability to anticipate actions early and explode into deflections gave him a constant presence as a point-of-attack pest.

may be the most improved player I’ve seen since last season. On a team loaded with elite talent, Wright hasn’t settled into just one role—because he does it all. His strengths aren’t always obvious on the stat sheet, but every game, he finds ways to fill in the gaps and ensure his team comes out on top.
Wright contributes in every aspect of the game. He rebounds, defends, can shoot the three, and is more than comfortable attacking the basket. His versatility allows him to play and excel in any of the 1-4 positions, adapting to whatever his team needs.
How does a player stand out on a team full of stars? Just listen to the game. Wright scored 13 of the most crucial points in a tight win over Wossman, a performance that earned him Player of the Game honors. As Wright continues to grow and refine his game, his college basketball prospects will only expand. His development this season is making it clear—he’s a player on the rise.
