Wiry scorer with a dynamic three-level scoring abilityabil. Very herky-jerky with his movements off the bounce and is effective with his creativeness and resourcefulness from the mid-range in. Long and rangy with allowing him to bother either guard spot defensively. Has yet to show a consistent three-point shot.

There won’t be many more dynamic scorers in the league than Spruill, a steadily-emerging late-bloomer with clear scholarship-level ability in the backcourt. A wiry guard with a potent three-level scoring attack, he brings an intriguing blend of twitch and herky-jerkiness off the bounce with a natural creativity and resourcefulness from the midrange and in. He plays tough through contact despite a slimmer build with flashes of vertical pop as a finisher at the rim. On the other end, he uses his length and quickness to bother opposing ballhandlers at either guard spot. Spruill should attract plenty of suitors at the D2 level this winter, or could be an interesting JUCO name with the chance to emerge as a D1 prospect down the line given more time to refine his decisionmaking and work on his perimeter jumper.

#304…Spruill is an athletic and instinctive two-way wing prospect. On offense, Spruill contributes via dives to the cup as well as operating in the dunker spot and by crashing the offensive glass for put backs. He also thrives as a lane filler on the fast break where he will not hesitate to dunk on opponent’s head. Spruill will sprinkle in the occasional 3-ball too. He recently posted 19 points in a win over Boston Latin (MA). On defense, Spruill is a plus player whose length and quick hands enable him to gobble up rebounds, disrupt passing lanes and block shots.
