About River

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a crafty guard/wing with excellent court vision. High level passer and three level scorer. I can get hot in a hurry from deep. I love getting downhill and am a strong finisher at the rim.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm always looking to create for my teammates and attack. I'll do whatever my coach asks in order for my team to win. My coaches say that I have a high motor.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm involved in Beta as well as FCA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Basketball and church have helped me develop into a leader on and off the court. My family runs a behavioral health center in our hometown. It has really allowed me to spend time with people less fortunate than myself.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Not always being the tallest or most athletic player on the court, I've had to learn to use my craftiness and vision in a larger capacity. I feel like what I lack in size, I make up for with strength and effort. I rebound really well for a guard my size.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that wants to help me further my game and education. I want to play for a coach that truly believe in me and my abilities.

He shoots it well from the perimeter and has the ability to create opportunities for both himself and his teammates, using his handle and a variety of moves to create space and get quality looks, even when pressured. He brings consistent effort and strong awareness, makes smart decisions, and doesn’t give up on plays, impacting both ends of the floor while going hard on the offensive glass.
