Riley has great quickness for a big, so he does a great job driving by other bigs. Riley is a little small to be a Center, but he is a great athlete and does great as a roller or as a finisher in general. He has worked hard on his shooting ability, and he has added the long-range jump shot to his game. He is a switchable defender with a great motor, and he was a walking double-double. He averaged 18.8 PPG and 10.2 RPG. He was a first-team selection in the IAC as well.

Riley battled on the glass on both ends as usual, and he had some nice moves in the paint. He got started early, scoring a handful of points inside. He had a thunderous and one jam that kind of iced the game for SSAS to finish his impressive outing. Riley finished with 24 points and 12 rebounds.

Riley has always been a fantastic defender and elite athlete. He finishes around the rim and blocks/alters a handful of shots a game. Where Riley has improved is he now has the ability to knock down jump shots. Riley is an undersized center, so that jump shot is something he will need at the next level. Riley has defensive versatility, and if he adds more to his perimeter offensive game, I could see him moving to be more of a 4. With the way Riley has developed over his high school career, it wouldn’t shock me if he becomes a different and better player at the next level.

Outside of one game against St. Andrews, Riley Jacobs Riley Jacobs 6'8" | C St Stephens And St Agnes | 2025 State VA was an absolute monster on both weekends. Riley’s activity was terrific, and that is why he has been rising this Summer. All Summer, I have heard about Riley refining his game and being a much more consistent player. Riley rebounded at a high level and was great on both ends. Riley averaged 15 PPG and 8.7 RPG in Session 1, then averaged 23.8 PPG, 15.0 RPG, and 3 BPG in session 2. Riley will be one of the best players in the DMV heading into his senior year.

Today, his athletic ability was on display with dunks and shot-blocking. He had 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 blocks in a nearly 30-point win for SSSAS.

I’ve talked about how Riley is one of the most improved players in Virginia over the past few years and has proved that at DMVlive. In two games, he totaled 47 points and 35 rebounds.

In their qualifiers, he was unstoppable for St. Stephens St. Agnes and had another big game today against Riverdale Baptist. Riley is a beast on the offensive glass, and his touch has also improved. His length and athleticism help make him impactful on defense and the glass. I love where Riley’s mid-range is, and his jump shot looks good overall. He moves very well, which can make him a versatile defender. He finished this game with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
