Rex Reiser Rex Reiser 6'1" | PG Northside Christian Academy | 2029 State SC is one of my favorite Point Guards to watch in the state. His skill set is extremely balanced on the offensive end of the floor, as he can beat you as a facilitator, shooter, or finisher. Not only does he have an advanced feel to set others up under pressure and through tight windows, but he is a true knockdown three-point shooter who can punish space off the dribble or the catch. He will get to the rim in spots, particularly when defenses try to overplay the threat of his shot, but if he can put on some weight that attribute will jump and make him one of the best players in his class.

Headlining my top-prospect check-ins on Friday is Rex Reiser Rex Reiser 6'1" | PG Northside Christian Academy | 2029 State SC . Reiser was in a new jersey this weekend, coming over to Northside Christian after playing his freshman year at Providence Christian. The Crusaders have an intriguing roster, but Rex could be a guy who helps them click on multiple levels. I know how gifted a passer he is after watching him with Big Shots SC this spring, but it was his shooting that caught my eye most on Friday. He went 5-9 from three in a matchup with Cardinal Newman, displaying an ability to stretch the floor and cause havoc for the opposing defense on the perimeter in a variety of ways.

Rex Reiser Rex Reiser 6'1" | PG Northside Christian Academy | 2029 State SC leads off the final group of new additions to this week’s rankings update. He is as true a Point Guard as you will find in South Carolina’s rising sophomore class. Reiser is an excellent passer who raises the level of his teammates whenever he’s on the floor. He simply sees passes that most other guards his age don’t, plus he can make a defense pay for gambling or sagging off with his scoring ability.

Leading off my list of Unranked Prospects who Shined at the Big Shots Rock the Rock with Paul Biancardi is Rex Reiser Rex Reiser 6'1" | PG Northside Christian Academy | 2029 State SC . Reiser is an off-the-radar player because of his age and school, but if he continues to play as he did in Rock Hill this weekend, it will be hard to miss how good he is. I watched Reiser and Big Shots SC Premier’s matchup with 3SSB’s Game Elite on day one, and although they were outmatched from a team perspective, Rex was one who didn’t look out of place on the floor against elite competition. He had team highs in points (11) and assists (4), showing an ability to shoot off the catch or the dribble, handle, pass, and finish with either hand, and see passing lanes at a high level.
