He is as true a Point Guard as you will find in South Carolina’s rising sophomore class. Reiser is an excellent passer who raises the level of his teammates whenever he’s on the floor. He simply sees passes that most other guards his age don’t, plus he can make a defense pay for gambling or sagging off with his scoring ability.

Reiser is an off-the-radar player because of his age and school, but if he continues to play as he did in Rock Hill this weekend, it will be hard to miss how good he is. I watched Reiser and Big Shots SC Premier’s matchup with 3SSB’s Game Elite on day one, and although they were outmatched from a team perspective, Rex was one who didn’t look out of place on the floor against elite competition. He had team highs in points (11) and assists (4), showing an ability to shoot off the catch or the dribble, handle, pass, and finish with either hand, and see passing lanes at a high level.
