Brandon Ramsey | Prep Hoops Scout
Johnson is an under-the-radar prospect for the Cavemen that should continue to attract small college attention throughout his senior season. Mishawaka went 1-2 at the Phil Cox Memorial Holiday Tournament defeating New Haven but losing to South Bend Riley and Warren Central. They are now 6-3 on the season. Johnson, a 6’3″ wing, has been the key to their overall success as a multi-level scorer and versatile defender within their system. He attacks the basket well from the perimeter, can knock down mid-range jump shots, and rebounds his position at a high level.

The defensive potential is one of the first thing that stands out when evaluating Johnson. The 6’2″ guard has the length to be a real disruptive force out on the perimeter getting deflections and steals leading to easy baskets. Offensively he handles the ball well, can create his own shot, and is a good finisher at the end of his drives. Johnson moved up from #91 to #73 overall in the updated Prep Hoops Indiana rankings.
