About Javeion

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I see the court to lead my team mates to be great. Heavy with the assist, score when I need to.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Very outgoing person, gets along well with others almost everyone. Short dude that every one loves to be around.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Not at this time, but I want to start a nonprofit organization to help youth that are need for clothing.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned how to be a great leader ship and lead my team. As the point guard you take on the responsibilities. And most important, I gained another skill to jump higher than before.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’m shortest guard but I don’t not let that define me. I use my ball handling skills, My hustle and My speed to stand out.

What type of college are you looking for?

My major is an IT. So I’m hoping for a D1 or a D2 college that can help me on the court and secede in my education.

Despite being just 5’5″, Coleman was unafraid driving it in “amongst the trees” and playing against size inside. He was able to win some one-on-one battles off of the bounce on the perimeter and then made good passes from a live dribble as he attacked the paint. As he physically develops and gets bigger it will help him as a finisher at the end of some of those drives. The Mishawaka High School product also proved to be a pesky on-ball defender for Team 3 throughout the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.

Coleman is clearly a smaller guard right now, but that did not deter him from mixing it up with bigger opponents. He was active with the ball in his hands and on the defensive end of the floor, even hustling after a couple of long offensive rebounds. The physical maturation process will come, and his game will be ready to shine.
